Choose the option that matches your trip
Train
The KTM Shuttle Tebrau is useful when a booked departure lines up with your plans and you want to reduce road-traffic uncertainty. Check the current timetable and ticket rules before you commit.
Public bus or coach
Buses are flexible and often practical for a casual day trip. Leave more time than the road distance suggests because you still need to clear both immigration points.
Taxi, private car or transfer
A direct ride can make sense for families, luggage or a western-Johor destination. It gives you more door-to-door convenience, but traffic and border queues still affect the journey.
Plan the first and last hours carefully
- Start earlier than your map estimate on Friday, weekends and public holidays.
- Keep the first stop near JB Sentral, City Square or Jalan Dhoby.
- Group Iskandar Puteri and LEGOLAND into a separate day instead of crossing the city repeatedly.
- Return to the checkpoint with a generous buffer; do not schedule a tight dinner or flight connection after the border.
